About the colour: Gustavian blue
The Gustavian style of furniture originated in 1771, when the future king of Sweden, Gustav III, returned home after an extended stay at Versailles. It is an elegant, pure style with a palette of pale greys and blues. The Gustavian colour scheme is still much loved in Sweden as well as abroad. It is used in many modern interiors.
